Full-screen lockdown alerts across every computer on your network — within seconds. Three alert levels, department targeting, and live acknowledgement tracking.
School Guard v4 is made up of three separate applications that work together. Your IT administrator installs the server once, the Manager on staff PCs, and the Client on every classroom and office computer.
Runs on one central machine at all times. Manages all connections, alert distribution, client machine records, and the licence. Sits quietly in the system tray.
Installed on any PC used to send alerts. Multiple staff can have it open simultaneously. Used to send alerts, resolve incidents, manage departments, and monitor connected machines.
Installed on every staff and classroom computer. Runs silently in the background. Displays the full-screen lockdown overlay the instant an alert is triggered.
Every alert uses a standardised level so staff always know exactly what to do. Colours, messages, and instructions are fully customisable.
Lock external doors. Activities continue as normal inside the building.
External threat present. Keep all staff and pupils inside the building.
Immediate danger. All staff and pupils should hide and barricade immediately.
Threat resolved. Resume normal activities immediately.
Client machines check in every 10 seconds. In practice most machines display the full-screen overlay within 5 to 15 seconds of the alert being sent.
A large coloured overlay covers every connected screen showing the alert level, the sender's message, and any additional instructions — unmissable even from across the room.
Create departments (Science Block, Main Office, Sports Hall) and assign computers to them. Send alerts to the whole school or to specific areas only.
Staff click an acknowledgement button on their screen. The Manager shows a live count in real time so you know which machines have confirmed receipt of the alert.
Super Admin accounts have full access. Manager accounts can only send alerts to their assigned departments and cannot change system settings or manage other users.
Customise background, text and accent colours, font size, scrolling marquee, clock display, and the system sound. Upload your school logo to appear on every alert.
Every alert event is recorded with timestamps in the local database. All data stays on your server — nothing is sent to EDUSOFTWARE or any external service.
Operates entirely within your local school network using TCP port 5000. No internet connection required — alerts work even if your broadband goes down.
Four licence tiers: Lite (20 machines), Standard (50), Professional (100), and Enterprise (unlimited). Annual licences renewed without reinstalling any software.
The Client application sits silently in the system tray on every machine. A coloured shield icon gives instant confirmation that the system is ready — without any distraction to staff.
